About Linseed
Linseed (alsi, flaxseed) is a winter oilseed whose oil is used in paints, varnishes and linoleum and, increasingly, as an omega-3 health food.
Where Linseed Is Grown in Madhya Pradesh
The main linseed districts of Madhya Pradesh are Sagar, Damoh, Jabalpur, Rewa, Satna. Madhya Pradesh is India's soybean state and one of its largest producers of wheat, chana, masoor, urad, garlic, coriander and isabgol. The Malwa plateau around Indore, Ujjain and Neemuch and the Narmada valley around Hoshangabad are its richest farm regions.
