What India Can Supply

Basmati and non-basmati rice; spices; onion, potato and fresh vegetables; mango, banana, grapes, pomegranate and other fruits; groundnut, sesame and soymeal; castor oil and guar gum; cashew kernels; pulses; honey; dehydrated onion and garlic; mango pulp; and a wide range of processed foods. Each crop page shows where it is grown and the named exporters and processors.

Finding Suppliers

Use the crop, product and state pages to identify the producing regions and named companies, then verify each supplier's APEDA or commodity-board registration (RCMC), FSSAI licence, certifications and export track record. Visiting the producing region during harvest and inspecting sample lots is strongly recommended.

Quality and Compliance

Agree specifications in writing: grade, size, moisture, foreign matter, residue limits, aflatoxin and microbiology as relevant. Ask for pre-shipment inspection by an independent agency and lab reports from accredited laboratories. India runs residue-monitoring and traceability systems for several export crops through APEDA.

Documents and Shipping

Typical documents include the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, fumigation certificate and any health or quality certificates required by your country. Main ports are Mundra, Kandla, JNPT (Nhava Sheva), Chennai, Tuticorin, Kochi, Kakinada, Visakhapatnam and Kolkata–Haldia.

Policy Check

India sometimes restricts exports of onion, rice, wheat or sugar when domestic prices rise. Always confirm current policy with your supplier and the DGFT before contracting.
