NCDEX
The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange is India's main agricultural exchange. Crops such as jeera, turmeric, coriander, guar seed and guar gum, castor seed, cottonseed oilcake and others have traded there, with delivery at accredited warehouses in the main producing centres such as Unjha, Nizamabad, Kota, Jodhpur, Deesa and Akola.
MCX
The Multi Commodity Exchange of India trades mainly metals and energy, but also cotton (cotton candy), mentha oil, cardamom and other farm contracts.
Futures Suspension on Seven Crops
In December 2021 SEBI suspended futures trading in wheat, paddy (non-basmati), chana, moong, mustard seed, soybean and its products, and crude palm oil to control food prices. In March 2026 the suspension was extended to 31 March 2027. Until it is lifted, prices of these crops are discovered in mandis and in government auctions such as FCI's OMSS.
eNAM
The National Agriculture Market links well over a thousand APMC mandis online. Lots are assayed and listed, and buyers in the same or other mandis can bid. It is run by SFAC under the Ministry of Agriculture. See the eNAM page.
