The main cotton districts of Telangana are Adilabad, Warangal, Nalgonda, Khammam, Sangareddy. Telangana has become one of India's largest paddy producers thanks to new irrigation, and grows cotton, maize, red gram, chilli, turmeric and soybean. Nizamabad is home to the National Turmeric Board.
