About Kiwi
Kiwi is a new fruit for Indian farmers, grown in the hills of Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Nagaland and Jammu & Kashmir, while most kiwi sold in cities is imported from New Zealand, Chile, Italy and Iran.

How It Is Grown

Graded by size and firmness; stores well in cold rooms.
Government Role
Kiwi has no minimum support price, so it is bought almost entirely by private traders, processors and exporters. Government support comes through horticulture and crop missions, market regulation, export promotion and research.
