About Ber
Ber (Indian jujube) is a hardy dryland fruit eaten fresh in winter. New large-fruited "apple ber" varieties have made it a profitable orchard crop.
Where Ber Is Grown in Madhya Pradesh
The main ber districts of Madhya Pradesh are Ratlam, Ujjain, Indore. Madhya Pradesh is India's soybean state and one of its largest producers of wheat, chana, masoor, urad, garlic, coriander and isabgol. The Malwa plateau around Indore, Ujjain and Neemuch and the Narmada valley around Hoshangabad are its richest farm regions.
